



This illustration and research spread examine how asexuality is represented in media. Asexuality, defined as “a sexual orientation in which people experience little to no sexual attraction” (The Trevor Project), is sometimes referred to as the “invisible orientation” due to a lack of representation. Existing representation of asexuality often relies on harmful stereotypes that portray it as a disorder in need of being “fixed". My illustration portrays asexuality as a multifaceted community and firmly situated as part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
