Signage System Redesign

Wayfinding | Information Design | Print Design Group project with Jylee Halsted, Ambreyl Rowe and Cailey Toronchuk In this project we redesigned the signage system for École Richard Secord School, a public elementary school in Edmonton that offers English and French Immersion programs. The new system includes bilingual signage (which was previously absent), and creates more visually consistent and clear navigation for both children and adults. My role in this project included the design of the pictograms and project booklet spreads.

Rounded shapes and edges feature throughout the school's visual identity and continue in the pictograms, which use symbols designed to be read by children and adults. The pictograms also utilize and expand on the school's brand colours (dark blue and green) to evoke a bright, friendly tone.
